The Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Audiology staff is committed to serving individuals with hearing healthcare needs. Our certified audiologists and sophisticated diagnostic and treatment equipment ensure excellent care for our patients.

  • Hearing Conservation/Hearing Screenings: Civilian or military personnel that work in an area with hazardous noise should receive an annual hearing screening. Hearing conservation services include monitoring audiometry, educational services for hearing protection and hearing loss prevention.
  • Adult and Pediatric Hearing Evaluations/Electrophysiological Testing: Using appropriate methods, we can test hearing sensitivity at any age. We offer adult and pediatric behavioral testing, auditory brainstem response testing and otoacoustic emission testing.
  • Newborn Hearing Screenings: In accordance with Virginia Department of Health protocols, we provide hearing screenings to all our newborn infants before discharge from the hospital, or by appointment in the Audiology Clinic within a month of birth.
  • Hearing Aids: Hearing aid selection and fitting, follow-up, repair services and batteries are available to our active duty military personnel. Family members of active duty personnel are eligible to receive hearing aids through TRICARE, though we require proper referral and authorization. We can help coordinate for such services.
