The Sleep Medicine Clinic provides diagnostic and treatment services for adult sleep disorders. If you are having any symptoms below please consult your Primary Care Manager (PCM).
If further consultation is required your PCM can enter a consult to be seen at the Sleep Medicine Clinic.
Sleep Medicine may perform diagnostic and treatment for the following sleep disorders:
Sleep apnea is a disorder where a person is unable to draw breath in while sleeping. Left untreated can lead to poor quality of life and medical conditions, such as abnormal heart beats, high blood pressures, depression, and memory issues.
Not feeling refreshed in the morning or tired all day
Dry mouth or sore throat
Frequent night time urination
Insomnia, is a disorder where a person has difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or wakes frequently or early
Lie awake at night with racing thoughts or worrying
Too full of energy to fall asleep
Easily awaken due to light or noise
Circadian rhythm disorders are sleeping patterns that are disrupted from our natural “internal body clock” leading to symptoms of insomnia.
Delayed Sleep Phase syndrome – fall asleep late, difficulty waking up on time (1 to 9 a.m.)
Advance Sleep Phase – fall asleep early, wake up to early (6 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
Shift work disorder (sleep time varies)
Jet lag (time zone changes)
Narcolepsy is a disorder that despite having a good quality of night time sleep (7 to 9 hours daily) a person complains of extreme tiredness throughout the day.
Parasomnia are disorders that can happen during different stages of sleep, such as nightmares, sleepwalking, sleepwalking, and sleep paralysis.

For Sleep Clinic appointments, please report to the clinic waiting area 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit. You will need to ring the door bell to enter the clinic. For nighttime sleep studies,
please report to Floor 6, lobby area, 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit
